The state excise department along with our team unearthed a manufacturing duplicate foreign liquor and selling them during Christmas and New Year Eve. Two persons were arrested running it and more than 350 bottles were seized.

Sources say that top excise professionals had issued a circular that there was a possibility of spurious foreign liquor being sold during the festive season.

Inspector at Andheri Police department said, “We have recovered more than 300 bottles of liquor and we are in the process to raid few more places and giving their names will harm the investigation.”

Conclusion:
Excise Superintendent has appealed to all users of these foreign brands to destroy bottles after consuming the liquor as they are used by such brands to sell duplicate liquor.
